# Applying Auction Design to Blockchain Systems: Progresses and Challenge

In this talk, I will introduce auctions in the system design of blockchain, including transaction fee mechanism design and miner extractable value.

Hongyin Chen is a third-year Ph.D. student at Peking University, advised by Prof. Xiaotie Deng. He obtained the Bachelor's degree from the first Turing Class in EECS dept, Peking University. His research interests are blockchain, mechanism design and algorithmic game theory.
