Light Client & Sharding: Techniques and Related Cryptographic Primitives

In this talk, we will give an overview of recent techniques for light clients and sharding systems. As a byproduct, the study on novel cryptographic primitives, such as proofs of sequential work, verifiable delay function, advanced signatures, etc., has been boosted by their successful applications in blockchain. The general idea and applications of the primitives in the context of light client, sharding and beyond, will also be included in this talk.
